FAQ

How do I get a quote?
Getting a quote is easy! For the fastest estimate, you can send us photos of the items via our contact form or at ops@wilmondwaste.co.uk
For larger or more complex jobs, such as a full property clearance, we're happy to arrange a free, no-obligation onsite visit to provide an exact price. -
How does your pricing work?
Our prices are based on the size of the load to be collected in weight and volume, and based on the size taken in our vehicle. This can be easily visualised on our booking page. This is the most transparent way to charge, as you only pay for the space your items take up in our vehicle. Our team will always confirm the final price with you before they begin any work.
-
What happens if I have more items to collect on the day?
Don’t worry, we offer a flexible service and we understand there are always times when more items needs collecting, we can adjust the cost on the day.
And don't worry, we will not take anything extra until you are happy, so no surprise invoices!
-
What happens to all the items or waste that you collect?
We are committed to protecting the environment and follow a strict zero-to-landfill policy. Your items are handled in this order:
Reuse: Anything in good, usable condition is reused or donated to local charities.
Recycle: Items that cannot be reused are transported to a dedicated facility where materials like wood, metal, plastic, and cardboard are separated for recycling.
Generate Green Energy: As a last resort, any non-recyclable materials are sent to a waste-to-energy plant, where they are incinerated to generate green electricity for our communities.
-
Do I need to be there for the collection?
Not necessarily. As long as our team can safely access the items (for example, if they are in a front garden or driveway), we can complete the job without you being present. We can process payment over the phone and will send all the required documentation to you via email.
-
Can you collect construction and demolition waste?
Yes. Our teams are fully equipped and licensed to collect a wide range of construction waste, including rubble, soil, timber, plasterboard, and old bathroom or kitchen units.
-
Do you provide Waste Transfer Notes?
Yes, for every single collection. A Waste Transfer Note (also known as a Duty of Care certificate) is a legal requirement that proves your waste was collected and disposed of responsibly by a licensed carrier.
A paper copy will be handed to you at point of collection, and a digital version can be sent via email on request.
-
Can you take electrical items and hazardous waste?
We can collect all electrical items, such as fridges, freezers, TVs, and computers, ensuring they are disposed of in compliance with environmental regulations.
We can also handle certain types of hazardous waste, like paint tins and batteries. Please contact us at ops@wilmondwaste.co.uk or via our contact form to discuss any hazardous materials, as they may require special handling and pricing.

What areas do you cover?
We offer national coverage, with our warehouse based in the West Midlands.
